Paediatric physiotherapy services are provided for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder using a comprehensive, child centred, and technology-supported approach. Services focus on the assessment and management of toe walking, muscle tightness and contractures, abnormal gait patterns, knock knees (genu valgum), bow legs (genu varum), postural deviations, balance deficits, and coordination difficulties. Interventions are delivered using advanced therapeutic equipment together with sensorimotor-based, gait focused, and functional play-based techniques to enhance movement quality, postural control, strength, flexibility, sensory regulation, and functional participation. Therapy programmes are individualised and delivered by a highly qualified, SLMC-registered physiotherapist, with the overall aim of improving functional independence and quality of life for each child in a safe and engaging clinical environment.
If you suspect your child may have autism, early intervention can make a life-changing difference.
